model-turned-actress, Monica Belluci started on TV and made her U.
S. feature film debut in Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula (1992). She proved
herself a leading lady in L' Appartement (1996) and played the
hip-swinging war widow in the 2000 film Malena. More of a star in Europe,
drawing comparisons to Sophia Loren, Belluci has also starred with Morgan
Freeman in Under Suspicion (2000) and joins Keanu Reeves and Laurence
Fishburne in 2003's The Matrix Reloaded.
